The active learning score is a metric used by the content selection algorithm for rating, to choose the second video given a first video.
Currently, it is composed of four terms:
- The first term favors videos whose scores are similar to the first video.
- The second term favors videos whose scores are highly uncertain.
- The third term favors videos that are rarely skipped the contributor, to avoid querying the contributor on videos that they may misremember.
- The fourth term is a noise to create diversity.
